From its 1045 km's, the magic Island reserves at least the half itself for more selective eyes. There are too many places to find out: walking by tracks in the middle of closed forest, by horses, by boat until solitary community, and through the sky,by gliding and paraglider. The wonderful landscape shows a variety that makes the 42 beaches territory, the most fascinating of the south of Brazil. The Island has plains, sand dunes, lagoons, mangroves, hills, and native vegetations. Furthermore, there are other 30 small islands and paradisiac places nearby, where you can see the most stunning views by the shimmering sea at sunrise.
From Sao Paulo, by car, take the BR 116 road and drive about 800 km towards the south of Brazil. By plane, there are many aircraft companies flying to Florianopolis. Consult your travel agency about timetable and air companies.
Marathon Plaza in Canavieiras Beach offers the largest pool of Floripa, with direct access to Canavieiras sand beach. There are 76 comfortable bedrooms and an international restaurant which provides mouthwatering food.
If you like sea food, you can appreciate it at Ponto de Vista Bar e Mirante, with a panoramic view of the city or Restaurante Pier 54, where they serve the typical brazilian food called feijoada, on Saturdays.
There is no doubt that the best thing to do in Floripa is visiting its beaches. If you only want to stroll and appreciate the view, try Praia Mole Beach. If you like surfing, take your board and go to Joaquina Beach.
